Marek Krzysztof Janiak, MD, PhD., Head of Dept. of Radiobiology and Radiation Protection, Military Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology in Warsaw, Poland. 1978 PhD, 1987 assist. prof., 1987 full professor in medical sci. 2007-2013 president of the Polish Radiation Research Society, member of the European Radiation Research Society, European Society for Cancer Research, Polish Immunological Society; advisor to Polish Representative to UNSCEAR. Co-author of 110 publications in radiobiology, immunology, radiation hygiene, and epidemiology. co-editor and co-author of books (in Polish): “Medicine of Radiation Hazards” (2005), “Pathology of Injuries and Diseases Caused by a War and Acts of Terrorism” (2010).
